Where we work in Tunnel Hill
We cover Tunnel Hill itself, the properties either side of the old Highway 41 running north toward Ringgold, and the homes and small farms on the lanes off Lafayette Road and Reed Road. It is a straight run for us from Dalton, so it lands on the same schedule as everything else in Whitfield County.
There is a real mix of vehicles out here. Commuter cars doing interstate miles every day, farm and work trucks that never see a wash bay, and family vehicles parked at homes with no convenient place to clean them. All three are jobs we do weekly.
Interstate miles and county roads
- I-75 bug splatter. Anybody commuting north or south picks this up on the front end, and it etches clear coat once it bakes on in July.
- Gravel and dirt road dust that coats everything within a day of a wash, and scratches paint if it gets wiped off dry.
- Red clay in the carpet. It comes in on boots and it does not vacuum out. It needs extraction to actually leave.
- Field and hay dust on anything parked near working land, which settles into vents and seat seams and needs steam rather than a wipe.
- Spring pollen sitting in every panel gap and cowl. It is mildly acidic, so weeks of it on hot paint is worse than it looks.

A lot of what we do around Tunnel Hill is work vehicles rather than show cars. A truck that hauls tools and dogs and gets driven down a dirt road every day is never going to be a garage queen, and nobody is asking it to be. What it can be is clean inside, with glass you can see through at night and a cab that does not smell.
