Interior detailing, done in your driveway.
Seats, carpet, headliner, vents, console and door cards, cleaned by hand at your house while you get on with your day. We bring our own water and power.
What actually comes out of a car interior
Most interiors are not dirty in the way people think. The visible crumbs take ten minutes. What takes the time is everything that has soaked into the fabric: spilled drinks that dried into the foam under the seat cover, sunscreen ground into the door cards, and the film that builds on the dash from heat and vinyl breaking down.
That is why a vacuum and a wipe never quite fixes it. Hot water extraction pulls the soil back up out of the padding instead of pushing it deeper, and steam gets into the vents, the seat rails and the seams around the shifter where a cloth cannot reach.
What a full interior includes
- Seats and carpet extracted. Hot water extraction on cloth, a proper cleaner and conditioner on leather, so it comes out clean rather than just wet.
- Vents, seams and trim steamed. The parts that hold the smell and the dust, done with steam rather than a spray that just relocates it.
- Headliner treated carefully. Headliners are glued fabric and will sag if somebody soaks them. They get a light touch on purpose.
- Glass done last, inside and out. Cleaning glass before the rest is how you end up doing it twice.
- Plastics dressed matte, not greasy. A shiny dash throws glare into the windshield and collects dust faster.
Dalton summers are hard on interiors
Heat and humidity are what turn a slightly dirty interior into a smelly one. Moisture gets into carpet padding from wet shoes and open windows, the car sits closed in ninety degree heat, and what grows in there is what you smell every morning.
Odor is almost never fixed by spraying something over it. It gets fixed by removing what is feeding it, which means extraction and drying rather than fragrance. If we cannot get it out we will tell you that instead of masking it for a week and letting it come back.
